Rita Maxwell is an accomplished finance executive and fractional CFO with more than 30 years of experience providing strategic financial leadership across government contracting, defense, aerospace, technology, and commercial organizations. She has held senior leadership positions ranging from Controller to CFO and Vice President of Finance & Accounting, with responsibility for financial strategy, operations, compliance, profitability, and organizational growth.
Rita brings extensive experience in strategic and operational planning, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow and working capital management, financial reporting, pricing, internal controls, audit management, mergers and acquisitions, and financial systems transformation. She has significant expertise in the government contracting environment, including FAR, CAS and DCAA compliance, indirect-rate management, incurred cost submissions, project accounting, contract pricing, and project profitability analysis.
Rita has worked closely with CEOs, business owners, and executive leadership teams, translating complex financial information into practical business insights that support informed decision-making, sustainable growth, and long-term financial performance. She has also led financial process improvements and major financial systems implementations and transformations.
Rita has been recognized by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as CFO of the Year and has held a leadership role with Women in Defense – Greater Tampa Bay.
